McCain condemns isolationist politics, calls it ‘unpatriotic’
McCain said “To abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe, to refuse the obligations of international leadership for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems is unpatriotic.
Here is a personal message for John McCain.
I served two tours in Vietnam.
I am offended by you attack on my patriotism. Putting America first, enforcing America’s immigration laws, securing America’s borders, protecting American citizens from enemies foreign and domestic does not make my ideas and opinions ‘half-baked, spurious nationalism’ nor do they make me unpatriotic.
Mr. McCain engage your brain before operating your mouth, get a backbone, stop lining your pockets with ‘special’ interest money and do what is right, what is in America and American citizens best interest.
Mega Leaks President Trump’s administration, the White House is infested with D.C. Swamp Snakes. Some are left overs from Obama’s administration and some have followed the President in to the White House.
Transcripts of two heated phone calls President Trump held with foreign leaders have leaked into the news media headlines.
The Washington Post reported, based on those leaked documents, that Trump pressured Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Jan. 27 to stop publicly saying his government would not pay for a border wall. The report also aired new details over the president’s infamously tense phone call the next day with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
Both phone calls were widely reported in February, in one of the first major leaks out of the Trump administration. The Washington Post claimed to have obtained the full transcripts, which reportedly were “produced by White House staff” and based on records kept by White House note-takers.
A report written by Republicans on the Senate’s homeland security panel warned that the Trump administration faced an “alarming” amount of media leaks that posed a potential threat to national security. The report titled “State Secrets: How and Avalanche of Media Leaks is Harming National Security,” estimated the Trump administration has had about one leak per day.
President Trump’s speech in Warsaw was largely acclaimed even by longtime critics as the president took Russia to task for destabilizing actions around the world and praised the Polish resistance during World War II as a model for cultures fighting existential threats.
Left leaning fake news outlets including The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Salon and The Atlantic decried the speech as an ode to white nationalism and anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant rhetoric.
The Washington Post headlined an opinion piece from editorial board member Jonathan Capehart “Trump’s white-nationalist dog whistles in Warsaw.” Capehart’s biggest gripe centers around the section where Trump touted Western accomplishments.
The Atlantic picked up where The Post left off, with an article called “The Racial and Religious Paranoia of Trump’s Warsaw Speech.”
Donald Trump referred 10 times to ‘the West’ and five times to ‘our civilization,’” Peter Beinart wrote. “His white nationalist supporters will understand exactly what he means. It’s important that other Americans do, too…The West is a racial and religious term.”
Salon said Trump’s speech “ripped a line from Europe’s far-right playbook.”
The LA Times termed Trump’s ideas “ethnocentric” and called his description of threats from terrorism as “a thinly veiled reference to the Islamic world.”
The Week cast the address as a “dark vision of America” and criticized his word choice.

After 72 years freeloading European nations told carry your fair share of military defense cost. For the past 70+ years the United States and UK have stood tall as the guardians of European freedom providing much more than their fair share of the cost, providing military personnel, equipment and NATO funding to defend Europe from it’s potential enemies.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said “pointing to bruising meetings of G7 nations and NATO last week the days when Europe could completely count on others were “over to a certain extent.”
Merkel said “I can only say that we Europeans must really take our fate into our own hands, of course in friendship with the United States of America, in friendship with Great Britain and as good neighbors wherever that is possible also with other countries, even with Russia. We have to know that we must fight for our future on our own, for our destiny as Europeans.”
